A Tourist Visa Application Review helps you check a planned Nepal tourist visa application for missing or inconsistent information before you submit it. Immigration Nepal can help you compare your entries with your passport and travel plans, but cannot issue a visa or decide whether you qualify. The correct route and requirements depend on your nationality, travel document, and circumstances, so confirm them with the Department of Immigration or the Nepalese diplomatic mission handling your application.

Choose the right application route first

Nepal’s Department of Immigration provides online tourist visa services through its official NepaliPort portal. The portal offers different services, including an online tourist visa application and a mission application. An online form or submission receipt does not by itself establish that a visa has been approved or that you may travel; follow the instructions for the service and authority responsible for your case. Visa on Arrival is not available to every traveler. Rules can change: for example, a Department notice dated March 15, 2026 says ordinary passport holders from Iran must obtain an entry visa from a Nepali diplomatic mission before arrival. Do not rely on an old eligibility list or a third-party summary. Check current instructions for your passport and intended entry point before booking or traveling. Indian citizens do not require a Nepal visa, according to the Department’s visa information.

What we review

We help you check whether the information you entered appears consistent with the identity and travel details in your supporting materials. Depending on the application route, a review may cover: - Full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport type, and validity as shown on the passport.

  • Selected visa service, intended entry point, requested stay option, and visit purpose, where those fields are part of the form.
  • Travel dates and Nepal contact or accommodation details when requested by the official application.
  • Required uploads and image legibility for the relevant route. The Department’s Electronic Travel Authorization manual describes uploading a profile image and passport image; confirm current upload instructions in the live portal.
  • Any field that is unclear, incomplete, or inconsistent and should be checked with the responsible authority before submission. We do not make up missing information, alter official documents, or tell you to select an answer that does not reflect your circumstances. If a form asks about prior travel, immigration history, or another fact you are unsure about, verify the answer with the Department or mission rather than guessing.

Documents and information to prepare

There is no single document checklist that applies to every tourist visa route. The official online application asks for passport-related details, while the Department’s ETA manual describes passport and profile image uploads. A mission may set its own additional instructions. Use the current checklist displayed by your selected official service or supplied by the mission, and bring or upload only what that authority requests. - The passport you plan to use for travel, so you can enter its details accurately.

  • Your draft application, submission reference if already issued, and travel details relevant to the form.
  • Clear digital images or other supporting materials only when the selected official route requests them.
  • Mission-specific requirements, if you are applying through a Nepalese embassy or consulate. Do not send passport scans or sensitive personal data through an unverified channel. Use official Government of Nepal portals for submissions and payments, and check the domain before entering personal or payment information.

How the review works

  • Identify your route. We help you clarify whether you are preparing an online tourist visa application, applying through a mission, or need to check Visa on Arrival eligibility.
  • Compare the draft with your records. You provide the draft fields and relevant details through an agreed contact method; we flag apparent omissions or mismatches for you to verify.
  • Check official instructions. We point out route-specific questions to confirm with the Department of Immigration or the mission, especially where instructions depend on nationality or recent policy notices.
  • You submit and follow up. You submit through the responsible authority’s official channel and follow its payment, appointment, or travel instructions. The authority alone decides whether to issue a visa.

Limits of this service

Immigration Nepal is an independent immigration assistance and advisory service, not the Government of Nepal, a visa-issuing authority, or a legal representative. A review can help catch inconsistencies, but it cannot guarantee eligibility, approval, processing time, or entry. Requirements and rules may change, and border officers retain authority to assess entry. Confirm current requirements with the official source before submitting an application or traveling. Contact Immigration Nepal to discuss a review of your Nepal tourist visa application.
